OUR MEDIA

MMA ADVOCATES ON ISSUES ALIGNED WITH ITS CORE BUSINESS, IN THE INTERESTS OF OUR CLIENTS.

We believe that, in a democracy, the media is a legitimate avenue through which issues of public importance should be raised.

We will continue to advocate for better approaches to child, health, disability and aged care, as well as education and employment pathways, as each holds a great social and social value.

Some of our recent public advocacy includes:

Our Research

WE ROUTINELY MAKE SUBMISSIONS TO PUBLIC INQUIRIES AND GOVERNMENT CONSULTATIONS.

Some of our recent submissions include:

Data availability and use in Aged Care – moving from information to knowledge

(submitted to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare: Exploring future data and information needs for aged care consultation)

Building resilience – the benefits of addressing social isolation and loneliness in rural and remote communities
(submitted to the Queensland Parliament’s Community Support and Services Committee: Inquiry into social isolation and loneliness in Queensland)

We routinely release our research, such as the groundbreaking 2020 aged care workforce report.

The delivery of aged care services at the right time, in the best place for older Australians living with differing levels of capacity, personal circumstances and aspirations – requires evidence-based insights.

The evolving expectations of the workforce need to be better understood, so as to be able to better plan for and prepare the future.
