Literature Review on Pathways to Employment for Young People with Disability

Client: Centre for Applied Disability Research
Sector: Disability, Equity and Access
Miles Morgan completed a national and international literature review for the Centre for Applied Disability Research. The Centre sought an update on similar research previously undertaken by Miles Morgan with this new research covering a five-year timespan from 2010 to 2015.
Our work contributed to the development of a template for a new employment-focused program to assist young people with disability to transition from education to employment.

The two research objectives guiding this project were to:

  • Identify the key elements that assist young people with disability to successfully transition from school to employment, and
  • Identify successful ‘pathway to employment’ frameworks/designs for young people with disability.

Miles Morgan was invited to present the findings of this research at the National Disability Services’ Disability At Work 2015 conference in Melbourne, Australia.
